 About Dharmic Institute

The Dharmic Institute is an educational collaborative dedicated to creating a community of instructors, educators and health professionals who integrate traditional yogic wisdom, cutting edge science, inner knowing and skillful practice.

More than 1,000 Yoga Teachers, Yoga Therapists and Professional Body-Mind Practitioners have completed Advanced Professional Level Teacher Training through the Dharmic Institute.


Dharma
is a Sanskrit word with many meanings. We use it to express Life Purpose.

Cynthia (Cinmayi) Payne MS, RD, CDE
Cynthia practices Integrative Nutrition as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. She is a Solution Method provider. The Solution trains participants in the internal skills necessary to turn off common excessive appetites (eating, drinking, smoking, spending, working). Her meditation & yoga training began as a teen with the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. She is a Certified Yoga Instructor in the Integral Yoga tradition and an Ananda trained Meditation Teacher. She is certified in Cardiac Yoga.

Cynthia has also led 10 week mind/body skills training groups with individuals challenged by diabetes, depression and heart disease. She is a nationally known speaker and has published reviews on diabetes and complementary therapy.

Cynthia's Sanskrit name is Cinmayi.

Ruben (Sundardas) Giron, RN
Ruben's insight into the philosophy and lifestyle of Yoga is grounded in more than 30 years of spiritual practice including 16 years spent residing in an ashram (spiritual community) in the United States and in India. He is a professional musician (AKA: Sundardas) whose music has supported the spiritual practices of others for many years.

Ruben leads "in service" workshops on health related topics and currently serves as an occupational health nurse for a Wall Street firm where he brings his gift of compassion into corporate America.
